Rain spilling over the gutter can leave you wondering whether it needs cleaning or replacing. If the metal is failing, the bill depends on the length of the runs and what is hiding behind them.
So Gutter Works in Lakeland charges $9.60 per foot for six-inch gutters and removal from $2 per foot. Together, $9.60 + $2 = $11.60 per foot before downspouts and corners.
I will show you what the gutter runs, downspouts and corners cost, then give you a calculator using that Florida installer’s rates.
Six-Inch or Seven-Inch Gutters?
Gutter Works prices six-inch gutters at $9.60 per foot and seven-inch gutters at $18.80 per foot. Its list describes the larger size for extra-steep or metal/tile roofs.
For the seven-inch size, adding its starting removal charge gives $18.80 + $2 = $20.80 per foot. The card compares these two sizes with removal; downspouts, corners and guards cost extra.
A Replacement Example With Downspouts Included
Gutter Works in Lakeland, Florida publishes a 2026 list with separate charges for runs, corners, downspouts and old-gutter removal:
For 150 feet of gutter, 40 feet of downspout and four corners, the Gutter Works arithmetic is 150 × $9.60 + 40 × $9.60 + 4 × $27.50 = $1,934.
Removing 150 feet of old gutter at Gutter Works’ starting rate adds 150 × $2 = $300. Using that minimum gives $1,934 + $300 = $2,234, before guards, fascia repairs and any other quoted charges.
Measure gutter runs and downspouts separately. The home’s floor area does not tell you either length, and a taller wall needs more downspout even if the gutter above is short.
Work Out a Gutter Replacement Price
This calculator follows Gutter Works’ six-inch system rates. It includes removal at the published starting rate; it is a planning example, not an offer from the installer.

Fascia Repairs Behind the Old Gutter
Fascia replacement was separate from the gutter quotes in the DC owner’s account below. Ask whether your estimate includes any work on those boards.
In the owner’s May 13, 2019 post, each company quoted fascia replacement at about $10 to $12 per foot. That is a historical quote, not a current fascia rate.

What Gutter Guards Add
Gutter Works lists its Black Step Lock leaf guard at $7.20 per foot and micromesh at $18.20 per foot. For 150 feet, those additions are 150 × $7.20 = $1,080 or 150 × $18.20 = $2,730.
Underground drainage is another line on the Gutter Works list, at $18.20 per foot. Ask whether your job needs it before adding that charge to the gutter total.
Three Quotes From a DC Rowhouse Owner
In a May 13, 2019 post, one owner compared three quotes with leaf guards and labor included.
The house had two 19.5-foot gutter runs, plus downspouts 11 and 22 feet long. The owner reported:
- A local company’s five-inch gutter quote was $2,300.
- Another local company’s six-inch gutter quote was $1,400.
- The Lowe’s six-inch gutter quote was $900.
On June 27, 2019, the owner confirmed installation after delays and poor communication.
Those old quotes are not today’s rates. What I find useful is that the cheapest quote was not for the smaller gutter, and the eventual wait mattered as well as the price.
Questions About Replacing Gutters
Can I get a price for cleaning instead?
Yes. Gutter Works prices gutter cleaning at $265 for the first hour and $65 per hour afterward.
Does the calculator cover seven-inch gutters?
No. It uses the six-inch rates. Gutter Works charges $45 per corner for its seven-inch system.
