You can picture the pool in the yard, but the advertised package leaves a few questions. Who levels the ground, connects the pump and fills it, and how much will the finished setup cost?
So DRS Pools’ 15- to 30-foot Trevi Tango round pools work out to $4,789.99 to $7,849.99 for the pool and installation. I added its separate prices below; these are Oxford, Michigan, examples before water and other site costs.
A shipped kit can have a much lower price, while leaving assembly and site work to you. Let me show you the difference, the equipment to check and what homeowners spent on separate parts of their projects.
Above-Ground Pool and Installation Prices
DRS Pools lists its 52-inch-wall Trevi Tango pools and installation as separate amounts. Here are four round sizes, with my sums shown beside the menu prices.
The same dealer’s 24-foot Trevi Rockley is $5,299.99 plus $3,000 installation, or $5,299.99 + $3,000 = $8,299.99. It is a different pool model, even though the diameter matches.

DRS explicitly leaves water out of both pool and installation pricing. Its sand filter also needs separately supplied sand. Confirm tax, delivery and the exact ground-preparation allowance in your proposal.
What Equipment Comes With the Pool?
DRS’s included-equipment list names a pump, sand filter, chlorine feeder, maintenance kit, vinyl liner, wide-mouth skimmer and an A-frame ladder with a barrier.
Match the pump and filter models, ladder and liner on the final order. Also ask whether the installer connects the included equipment, supplies filter media and explains startup.
A Shipped Pool Kit Is a Different Purchase
WaterThat’s online menu lists a 24-foot round Ashland package with a 52-inch wall for $1,996.99. Its round kits include the pool, pump/filter combination, ladder, skimmer and liner.
The shop describes a kit shipped to your driveway for your own build. It is not an installed-yard price. Confirm stock, shipping, tax, site preparation and any separate installer before comparing it with the DRS sums.
DIY can suit someone ready to handle the assembly and coordinate the rest of the project. Have the site plan and the manufacturer’s requirements settled before a pallet of pool parts arrives.
Ground Preparation, Access and Power
Ask the installer to walk the yard and price the actual location. Slope, soil removal, machine access and obstacles can change the work even when the pool model stays the same.
Have the installation scope name the prepared base and any limits on excavation. Also settle where excess soil goes and who repairs the route used to bring equipment into the yard.
Electrical work needs its own clear scope, including the equipment location and any required inspection. Do not treat a pump in the box as an electrical installation included in the pool price.

If you want a deck, price its structure and access separately. Our deck cost guide explains the difference between deck boards and the supporting frame; a new pool deck needs its own plan.
Homeowners’ Pool Purchases and Setup Quotes
These Hunting New York forum accounts concern different parts of pool ownership. They are older examples, with a used-pool offer and a small portable package alongside electrical work.
- July 4, 2022: mowin, in Old Chatham, received a $1,500 installation price from the company that had originally sold a used 21-foot pool. The pool itself was being offered free; the post does not confirm a completed installation.
- July 4, 2022, New York time: wolc123 recalled a $200 package including a filter pump, bought about five years earlier. The pool was 15 feet across and four feet deep, put up and taken down seasonally.
- July 5, 2022: MPHunter, in New York’s Capital District, reported $1,100 to run the electrical supply for a pool installed the previous year. That amount was for electrical work, not the pool.
The free used pool still needed installation, water and a site. The small seasonal pool was a much simpler purchase. Neither gives a current installed price for a new permanent-wall pool.
Budget for the Barrier and the Way In
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends barriers for above-ground pools. Its guidance also addresses securing, locking or removing the access ladder, or enclosing the steps within a suitable barrier.
A nearby deck or other climbable structure changes access to the water. Ask the local building department which pool, barrier and permit requirements apply before finalizing the yard layout.
A ladder included in a kit is only part of that plan. Have the finished access arrangement reviewed for the actual pool and site, rather than deciding from a product photo.
Water and Upkeep After Installation
Ask whether you will fill from the house supply or arrange a water delivery, and who handles it.
Plan for testing supplies, treatment products, pump electricity, cleaning and seasonal care. The ongoing bill depends on how you run the pool; the purchase price does not provide a yearly maintenance allowance.
If the pool structure is already sound and only the vinyl needs replacing, our pool liner replacement guide covers that smaller job. A new pool package is a separate purchase.
Questions About Above-Ground Pool Costs
How Much Is a 24-Foot Above-Ground Pool Installed?
DRS Pools’ Trevi Tango menu works out to $3,449.99 + $3,000 = $6,449.99 for pool and installation in Oxford, Michigan. Water is excluded; confirm tax, delivery and site work.
Does a Pool Kit Include a Pump and Ladder?
Some do. WaterThat’s round kits name the pump/filter, ladder, skimmer and liner.
Is Water Included in Installation?
It is not included in DRS Pools’ pool or installation prices.
Should I Replace the Whole Pool for a Worn Liner?
Have the structure and liner assessed separately. A sound pool may need liner work rather than a complete new package; our linked liner guide covers that job.
Where These Prices Come From
Checked October 25, 2026. Dealer prices are US offers and worked sums, not a national installed average. Owner posts retain their original dates and project descriptions.
