Short answer

Published installed remote-start examples start at $299 in Plainfield, Illinois, while Creative Audio lists premium installed systems up to $799. Confirm vehicle compatibility, integration extras and any optional phone subscription.

You want to start the car before walking outside, but the offers mix a small key fob, a screen remote and phone control. Before choosing one, check what the installed price includes for your exact vehicle.

So Premiere in Plainfield, Illinois prices a standard one-way installed system at $299 and a two-way LED system at $399. Creative Audio offers installed examples from $349 to a premium $799 system.

I checked these US provider pages on October 22, 2026. I will compare the system types, explain installation extras and separate optional phone charges from the hardware and fitting price.

Premiere’s menu warns that extra relays, harnesses, bypass parts or integration labor can add cost. Its standard offers do not establish one fitted total for every vehicle.

Creative Audio also marks these as installed systems. Have the installer confirm the model, included remotes and any required vehicle-specific parts before comparing the totals.

One-Way, Two-Way and Phone Control

A one-way remote sends the command. A two-way remote also receives confirmation, which can be useful when you cannot see the vehicle. Premiere describes that difference in its system choices.

One-way remotes send a command; two-way remotes send a command and receive confirmation.

Phone control adds another question: what hardware and service plan does it require? An installed system with LTE capability should not be assumed to include unlimited free app service.

The cover photograph shows a factory-style fob with a remote-start button and an emergency key. It is not one of the aftermarket systems priced in the table.

Keep the Phone Plan Separate

The Creative Audio page advertises a DroneMobile module add-on at $99. The Basic phone plan starts from $5.99 per month, or a one-year Basic plan at $59.88 paid yearly.

The yearly price is a separate billing option. Do not multiply the monthly offer and present that result as the published annual plan, or add the module again when your selected package already includes it.

Creative Audio lists optional DroneMobile Basic from $5.99 per month or a one-year Basic plan for $59.88 paid yearly.

Ask what continues working from the key fob without the optional phone plan. Also confirm which features and subscription, if any, are included with the exact package you choose.

Why Your Car Can Change the Installation Price

Give the installer the year, make, model, trim, transmission and existing key system. Have it confirm compatibility and whether it needs an extra key, integration module or additional labor.

The Missouri installer describes extra installation work and a special operating procedure for supported manual-transmission setups. Ask for an approved compatible system and a demonstration from the installer.

For a European model, request a written vehicle-specific quote. The Illinois standard menu is aimed at compatible domestic and Asian vehicles, rather than a promise that every car qualifies.

Check whether the quote adds an alarm or security package. Premiere’s higher-priced security combinations include different equipment, so they should not be compared with a basic remote-start-only package.

What Earlier Owners Reported

I kept these three US reports separate because they describe parts, a reported shop offer and an installation amount. None is a current complete-price promise for your car.

  • Texas Mazda owner AcornKernel posted on June 30, 2020 about DIY parts for a 2019 CX-9: $100 module + $38 bypass + $65 harness = $203. That parts total excludes professional installation.
  • Atlanta Tacoma owner gpb posted on November 14, 2016 that a local shop was offering remote start at $275 installed. The reported offer did not identify the brand or show a paid bill.
  • A Gaithersburg, Maryland Bronco Sport member posted on February 19, 2024 about approximately $100 for dealer installation of Perimeter Plus, without an extended antenna or LED. The report does not itemize the hardware allowance.

The Maryland amount cannot establish a complete hardware-and-installation package. Likewise, the Mazda parts receipt cannot establish what a shop would charge to supply, fit and support a system today.

Before You Book the Installer

Ask for the complete fitted total and the reason for any integration extras. Confirm the operating range and controls included with your chosen remote, rather than assuming all systems offer the same features.

Have the installer demonstrate starting, confirmation, shutdown and normal driving takeover for your vehicle. Ask who handles support if the system later stops responding.

A remote-start accessory is different from replacing a failed starter motor. If your Civic will not crank normally, the Civic starter repair guide covers that other job.

Remote Starter Installation Questions

How much does remote starter installation cost?

Premiere advertises a compatible standard one-way system at $299 installed. Creative Audio offers installed systems from $349 through a $799 premium example. Request the complete price for your vehicle, including integration extras.

Is a two-way remote the same as phone control?

No. A two-way remote receives confirmation from the vehicle. Phone control uses separate compatible hardware and can require a paid service plan.

Does LTE mean the phone app is free forever?

Do not assume so. The installer offers optional DroneMobile service plans, including Basic from $5.99 per month or $59.88 paid yearly. Confirm the plan and any included period for your package.

Can a manual-transmission car use remote start?

Compatibility must be confirmed for the exact car and system. The provider describes additional installation work and a special operating procedure for supported manual-transmission setups.
